【Goju-no-to, Various types of Five-stored pagodas in Japan】
Have you ever been to Japan? Nowadays Buddhist style or Shrine style architectures are getting more ...popular among tourists from abroad.

Today we pick up some pictures of Japanese Buddhism pagodas. Five-storied pagoda is one of the forms of pagoda. Among the pagodas in the tower style, Goju-no-to is the one with a five-fold roof.

From the bottom to the sky, each roof expresses five major elements of the world, earth (chi), water (sui), fire (ka), wind (hu) and void (ku). And they as a whole represent Buddhist perspective of the world.
